Garden Gate

It was late winter when I happened across the fabrics that make up this quilt. I’d been looking at some impressionist and watercolor quilts just before heading to the coast for a day of relaxation. I found the perfect fabrics to do my own impressionistic style quilt in Florence at Wenz-Daze Quilter’s Emporium. That spring, I created this 14″ x 23 inch wallhanging. Garden Gate represents my first step toward more art-driven rather than craft-driven quilting.
